We are a Katy based CPA company, looking for an Accountant. This position assists the CPA with accounting duties and tax preparation. The duties include:

• Updating client accounts and prepare Financial Statements (Profit & Loss statement, Balance Sheet, GL) using Quickbooks

• Sales Tax Report filing

• Payroll processing, filing PR Reports and payroll tax payments

• Follow up with clients to gather information

• Assisting CPA with individual and business tax return filing.

This position is looking for a person with:

• Previous work experience in accounting field

• Previous work experience with Quickbooks Desktop and QB Online applications

• Familiarity with payroll reports filing (941, TWC, 940, W2)

• A working knowledge of computers and MS Office

The person in this position need to be able to multitask, and open to learn new things. Good interpersonal skills are an important part of the job. This is NOT a staff accountant position.
